I know it is not something that should be a regular occurrence, but I had a run-in with something that I could not seem to fix. I was trying to run a windows 7 SP1 installation, when everything went black and went silent. After a couple hours of work, I realized that I had no option but to go live elsewhere. I am so glad I did and have since bought a new machine.
Here is the list of things I am most excited about.
In this case, I wanted to make a game with a group of people, each of whom has to be a member of a different team. Each of them decides what to do. Each of them is allowed to be a part of the team, but what they do is just a game mechanic, and it’s a little bit like a puzzle. We have to figure out what to do, then.
The problem is that Microsoft has been giving users zero control over the development of Windows 7, and there’s so many ways to screw up. For example, the new version of Windows 7 will have a new “Start” menu, and one of the first changes is that the start menu will now be a giant list of items, which you can only access by using a keyboard or pointing and clicking on the Start menu.
This is bad, but even worse, it also means that even if you are using a keyboard or pointing and clicking to access the Start menu, and you make a mistake, the system will not automatically correct you. This is bad because you don’t know if the system will just remove your keystrokes and start over, or if it will fix your mistake and then do it again. If you do it again, you will screw up your entire system.
0x0 is a Windows error code that most Windows 7 users are familiar with. In other words, you are running into the same problem as you were in Windows Vista with the Windows XP operating system. Of course, there are still times when Windows 7 will fail to update your system file or applications, but you can just delete those files/apps and you’ll be fine.
