10 Mood-Boosting Benefits of Product Strategy

When you’re feeling down in the dumps, it’s easy to lose focus on all things positive. But what if there were a way to make those good feelings last longer, and to even set your mood for the day? Enter product strategy. When evaluating a special order, management should: Only accept the order if the incremental revenue exceeds all product costs. The bright hues, vibrant colors and design of your products can have a big impact on the way you feel and function. If you’re feeling anxious or low in energy levels for example, create an uplifting space with colorful visuals.

1. Colorful visuals make your work space a more pleasant environment.

Remember when you were a kid, and you had that big poster of Spiderman on your wall?

That sudden burst of energy from seeing that colorful superhero spidey was actually there to support your learning, and keep you on track.

2. Your work space needs reflect the energy of the product you’re creating for customers.

Product design looks fundamentally different depending on what’s being designed for.  When aiming to create a happy, fun and uplifting atmosphere, use bright colors in your work space and objects throughout the home or office – whether natural or artificial materials. Angles, textures, lighting… All of these things help to create a positive mood.

3. Check out some color psychology theory to help you choose the right shades.

When you research the latest psychological theories in this field, you’ll quickly find that color has a very significant effect on behavior. As it turns out, certain color combinations can actually modify your mood. Having a color scheme that includes various shades of green can cause you to feel more optimistic and friendly in nature – while red and orange can make you feel energetic, happy and confident – so building an office space around these colors could bring about a much-needed boost in your vibes.

4. Using different product styles will help support your overall brand identity.

Every product you create should be an extension of your overall brand identity, so make sure your products are readily identifiable as being a part of your brand. When creating a space to design and create new products, consider using a similar color palette as the one you want to project – this can help set this product style apart from your other work, which could lead to the creation of a memorable new piece that reinforces the overall brand.

5. Choose colors that will make customers remember you positively for years to come.

There are some colors that have been shown time and time again to have amazing positive associations with people’s memories and emotions, such as white for purity, yellow for cheerfulness and green for growth and natural environments… but of course, there are many other similar colors that are equally as beneficial. When you’re creating a new product, and don’t want to use the same color palette or design choices that you already have in place around your home or office, it’s a good idea to try out some new (or old) colors that could reflect the mood of your brand best.

6. A splash of color can encourage better focus on tasks and projects at hand.

Color is a great way to add more positive vibes into your work space, but don’t think that using one main color all the time will do the trick – it’s important to maintain variety in different environment settings as well. Green and blue hues have demonstrated the ability to assist with creativity and problem-solving in the past, while orange can help you feel more energized and positive.

7. You’ll find your productivity is easier when the work space has bright colors.

This is one area where some of the old “old wives tales” are yet to be proven or disproved, but they’re still good guidelines. Bright color schemes can actually lead to more efficient decision-making, as our brains often become overloaded with a higher amount of information when we’re presented with a lot of different hues for our eyes to parse through at once.

8. Different colors stimulate different parts of your brain.

Knowing the difference between which color challenges each part of your brain can make a real difference on how you work and focus on a project at hand. For example, using a light green background will target the mid-brain for creativity, while deep reds and blues will engage the left and right hemispheres for more analytical thinking.

9. Keep distractions to an absolute minimum around your workspace so that you’re focused and productive at all times.

When you’re working hard to create or develop new products or services all day long, don’t forget to keep things from interfering with your job – especially when you’re trying to stay focused and creative on task. The last thing you want is a drawer or cabinet full of bright objects and colors to distract you. This can be a really easy problem to fix, so don’t let it happen – keep only the supplies and tools you need around your work space, while storing anything that can be a distraction in another part of your house or office.

10. High quality furniture makes all the difference in creating that perfect creative environment.

You’ve heard it time and time again from experts in the field: The furniture you choose for your work space has a direct impact on how well and how long you’re able to stay focused on the job at hand.

Conclusion:

Keep in mind that you can have a positive, uplifting and fun environment for your work space so long as you plan it properly. With a little creativity and design, you can easily successfully create an awesome work environment for yourself or your company.
