Gambling has become accepted as a pastime and even a sport in some categories. What’s better than to enjoy your favourite casino games than in a resort? Yes, Las Vegas, Macau and certain cities in Europe are known to have luxurious casino resorts that bundle a great vacation with fun gambling, but there are more and more places like this across the world.
Take Canada for example, a country that maybe wasn’t the most known for its casino resorts but more for its majestic nature. Let’s explore some of the places in Canada where you can visit a casino and have some fun!
Like many other countries, you need to be of legal age to gamble in Canada, which could vary from province to province. In order to play slots or play roulette, Canadians can either set foot in a casino resort to an in-person casino or play online. Whether you want to start an online casino business, or want to learn poker from the best, casino resorts are a great place to do so.
Situated in the French-speaking city of Montreal, Quebec in Canada, Casino De Montreal is an in-person casino that can bring more excitement and adrenaline compared to an online bingo casino. Just ask our resident casino expert, Kevin N. Cochran, who has been to his fair share of casino resorts.
This beautiful casino resort is located on Ile-Notre Dame, and has five floors full of casino games so players never have to wait a long time. If you are a fan of slots, then you’ll be happy at the Casino De Montreal because there are over 3000 of these machines ready for you to play.
If you are more of a table game type of person, you’ll still love it at this beautiful casino resort because there are more than 100!
Located in the capital of the province of Alberta, in Edmonton, the River Cree Casino is another great place to spend your time and your money. The River Cree Casino holds a lot of history, as it’s the first one to open in this province.
It’s not quite as big as our first choice, but the River Cree Resort and Casino still sees over 1300 slot machines and more than 40 table games.
The name of Fallsview Casino Resort alludes to what you can expect in this establishment. It gives a literal falls view, a view of one of the Wonders of the World, the famous Niagara Falls.
The casino is large, to say the least, with an over 200,000 square foot footprint housing more than 100 table games and 3000 slot machines. Since it’s a resort, you can also choose to spend the night there with 374 rooms of your choice.
The best part is, of course, the gorgeous views.
Casino Rama is also one with history, having been established over 20 years ago. The Chippewas of Rama and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation came together to realize this casino resort. It’s also quite a large one, with around 100 tables and over 2500 slot machines, Casino Rama also plays host to a lot of tournaments.
There aren’t exclusive poker rooms, but since it’s a hotel resort, there are plenty of other things to do in the vicinity such as various amenities. Casino Rama is a very reputable gambling establishment in Canada and one that should not be missed.
The Caesars Windsor Hotel & Casino is one of luxury, so if a more high-end experience is what you want, then look no further. It’s considered a Canadian casino but it isn’t far from the American border, which is why you can find players from both countries who frequent the hotel and casino.
It’s another establishment that has table games and slot machines, but it isn’t quite as big as some of the others we have on our list. Caesars Windsor is equally a hotel and a casino, which is why their amenities get just as much attention, such as a spa and fitness centre.
If you have a penchant for gambling, these five places are a must-visit when you’re in the beautiful country of Canada.
