9 Tips For HEALTH HABITS Success

Are you looking for a weight loss plan that doesn’t feel like an excuse to starve yourself? You’re not alone. But it’s easier than you think! When I say “starve”, I don’t mean it in the literal sense, but more so in the sense of deprivation like fk boss healthbar. If you are eating below your calorie needs, which is what starvation means, then your body will take this as a sign of danger and think that it’s time to slow down and make any fat stores last.

9 tips for health habits success are:

1. Plan your food

As much as possible, plan out your meals and snacks in advance. This will keep you on track and less likely to stray from healthier options. Which leads us to the next point.

2. Eat more fruits and veggies

We all know the vitamins and minerals that fruits and vegetables contain are essential for health. But did you know that they are also low in calories? These add up over time and can be a sneaky way to reduce how much you eat without even realizing it! They also make you feel full very quickly, so don’t be shy about getting them into your diet in whatever way you can!

3. Use smaller plates

Have you ever been to the grocery store and they have these giant paper plates and bowls? I always think to myself, who needs that much food? Well, YOU DO! LOL! Cutting down on portions is a huge step in weight loss. However, many times our eyes can be bigger than our stomach, so using smaller plates will trick your brain into thinking you have more food than you do. In effect, you will eat less without even realizing it.

4. Limit sugar

There’s nothing wrong with a sweet treat here and there, but the amount of sugar in our diet is frightening! If you’re going to eat sweets, try to limit them as much as possible. This will help keep your blood glucose levels down and reduce those cravings.

5. Drink more water

I know this seems like a no-brainer, but it’s very easy to forget! I always try to have a glass of water first thing when I wake up. I’m lucky because it’s right there under my bedside table and I drink it before I have any other thoughts in my head! A great tip is to keep a pic of your favorite beverage next to the glass, or even stick a straw in the pic. It helps me remember that sometimes you just need to stop what you’re doing and focus on drinking some water!!

6. Be active

Whether you love it or hate it, activity is good for you. It makes your body healthier, improves your mood and helps you feel more alive! If you’re not a fan of being active, try doing little things throughout the day to help you out. I always keep a notebook and pen with me so I can write whenever I get the urge to doodle. It’s a fun way to be productive without even knowing it!

7. Learn how much food is healthy for me by using calorie counting apps

Tracking calories can be really frustrating and monotonous, but it can also be really rewarding when you finally understand how much food is healthy for you. It also helps you realize how much you’re eating on a daily basis which can be eye opening. Many apps will also track your activity, which is helpful because sometimes we don’t realize how little we are actually doing when it comes to our health.

8. Keep a food journal

What’s so great about keeping a food journal is that it allows you to see the bigger picture for yourself. When you’re in the moment and making choices, it’s easy to make impulsive decisions based on emotions, but once you have time to look back at what you’ve done and how your body has responded, then it becomes more clear. You know what works for you and what doesn’t. You can then plan accordingly for the future.

9. Don’t skip a meal

I know I’ve said it before, but the thing that trips people up is actually thinking about eating 3 square meals a day, 5-6 times a week. It’s easy to get off track and start to think that you need to make up for not eating by eating more at the next meal or snack. “Next time I will eat less today so I can make up for it tomorrow.” That’s where this mindset comes from, and it’s wrong! Skipping meals makes you learn to rely on snacks and overeating in general which encourages weight gain over time. Eat more often, but eat smaller portions.

Conclusion:

Health habits are the foundation for a healthier and happier you. Being healthy doesn’t mean you starve yourself and deprive yourself of the foods you enjoy. You can enjoy your favorite foods in moderation as long as they fit into your health goals!

Healthy habits are very important to have a healthy lifestyle. The healthier you are, the better your body feels! If you don’t have any healthy habits, now is the time to start working on them.
