Perks of having good metabolism

If you’re worried about how your hectic lifestyle and poor diet is affecting your health, here’s some good news: Your body is constantly consuming and recycling nutrients like mad.

They go to work, keeping your metabolism humming along. But if you slow down too much, those mechanisms can make it harder for those nutrients to do their job-in some cases, not allowing them to enter the cells where they are needed most.

One way to put yourself in a better metabolic state is to eat enough protein.

And this step in the process isn’t just about staying sharp, or providing your brain with all the energy you need to keep it busy, but also providing your body with the raw materials it needs to keep up with its own production of proteins.

Here at https://advantagebizmarketing.com/ has some more perks of having a good metabolism.

Additionally, proteins are made of smaller units called peptides that are made up of chemically bonded amino acids-found in protein-rich foods like meats, fish and dairy products.

Peptides are ready to turn into proteins at any moment should one be needed by the body. (Giving blood plasma is one way your body gets rid of old proteins.

Here are some points about the perks of having good metabolism-

1. Your body makes hormones for you

Hormones are molecules that travel in the bloodstream, carrying instructions to cells about how they should operate.

Hormones travel everywhere, even to your brain, where they play a role in regulating your thoughts. And while the brain is largely immune from their effects, it can also have trouble making one of them-melatonin.

This hormone not only helps regulate your sleep/wake cycle but also protects your cells from cancer and other diseases.

This is why it’s important to keep your metabolism humming along at a reasonably high rate; that way you’ll get more energy and nutrients into the cells that need them most.

2. Having a healthy metabolism can prevent diseases

As you age, your body does tend to slow down, just as the speed of all of our machines does. But recent studies have linked having a high metabolism rate to staying alive longer.

Researchers reported that the more often volunteers who were 70 years old had their cholesterol checked, the healthier they tended to be.

And another study found that diet can also have an effect on your total mortality risk. When researchers had people living in the Midwestern United States answer detailed questions about their food intake, they found that those whose diets were high in total fat and saturated fat had a greater risk of dying during the next four years-but only if they also had low HDL cholesterol.

3. There is no such thing as “bad” cholesterol

Cholesterol is the term scientists use to describe the fatty substances that are found in animal foods.

There are two types of cholesterol-LDL (the so-called bad cholesterol) and HDL (the so-called good cholesterol). It wasn’t too long ago that medical experts were advising people to avoid all forms of saturated fat.

Then came the report that HDL had its own detrimental effects, reducing blood flow to the brain, for instance. And then came research showing that there is no link between high LDL and heart disease.

Fortunately for us, higher HDL cholesterol levels are associated with lower rates of heart disease.

This is because higher levels are thought to indicate that the liver has removed much of the LDL cholesterol already-and much more can be made without any deleterious effect on health.

4. Testosterone makes you eat less, not more

Testosterone has an effect on your appetite-way too much, in fact. For instance, there are now doctors who are prescribing testosterone treatments to obese people-they claim it stops them from overeating and gaining weight. But the evidence simply doesn’t support this position.

First, the actual effects of testosterone are unknown. Second, the doses required to increase sex hormone levels in men are well above what is needed to see results. And finally, no one has ever noticed any change in body weight when giving testosterone injections or oral medications to men.

5. The relationship between calories and your metabolism.

As far as weight management is concerned, there really isn’t such a thing as “bad” foods-it’s more about balance than anything else. The issue here is much more complicated than people think.

Low-calorie foods, such as vegetables or fruits, not only provide your body with the nutrients it needs, but also lower the amount of energy you consume and increase the level and number of calories burned by your body.

On the other hand, high calorie foods, such as those high in fats or sugar, don’t do the same thing.

In fact-more calories can be stored as fat if you eat too many of these kinds of food items as there are no chemicals used to make them useful for your body (such as protein or carbohydrates). The end result is that you will end up gaining weight.
