She was a powerful feminist and human rights activist before her death in 1993. Many characters like this are used to empower others through their art – as well as to inspire them to never give up on their dreams and be happy with who they really are.

It’s never been easier for the individual to create their own art and show the world that no one has the right to judge them – not even governments or major corporations. Many people have already started to fight shop pretty; people like Lady Gaga and Jaden Smith have taken the lead on this, and it’s spreading throughout the world. Anyone can do their part to fight shop pretty is power, and more importantly – make the world a better place.
