The Bay Tower Room is a Boston landmark with some of the best views in the city. Nestled at the top of The Bay Tower building which sits on the edge of Boston Harbor and Fort Point Channel, this one-of-a-kind event space offers commanding panoramic views of Boston’s skyline and the harbor. Taking up about 3,500 square feet (and incorporating flexible seating for up to 140!), The bay tower room boston provides guests with a completely private environment from which to hold conferences, meetings, symposiums and galas.

The Bay Tower Room opened in the mid-90s. Designed by architect Thomas Hara, it served as the main event space for the Bay Tower building. The 35 story building is home to some of Boston’s most successful businesses like BioGen, George Little Management and Converse. Prior to being an event space, The Bay Tower Room was a banquet hall. The building is located in the Fort Point Channel neighborhood of downtown Boston across from Massport’s headquarters. Onsite parking is provided courtesy of The Bay Tower Garage located within a short walking distance behind the building at One Marina Park Drive. It’s not just a place to work or have a meeting, it’s really one of the hidden gems in downtown Boston.

Everything You Need To Know About The Bay Tower Room Boston :

1. The Bay Tower Room Capacities:

The Bay Tower Room is capable of seating up to 140 guests cocktail style, or 120 guests for a seated dinner and dancing. Other configurations are available upon request. The main room features a 6-foot rectangular bar and 3 restrooms. An additional adjacent space, known as the Round Room, can be utilized for pre-function activities, decor changes or additional seating. The Round Room offers a 1-foot circular bar and 3 additional restrooms. The Bay Tower Restaurant is located on the 3rd floor of the Bay Tower building with commanding views of downtown Boston across the harbor to Quincy, MA and beyond. The restaurant features a 45-foot circular bar and features Chef Luciano DiPalma’s menu which can accommodate up to 70 guests for pre- and sit-down dinner.

2. Meeting space for 175 attendees:

The Bay Tower Room provides 2 meeting rooms, each with between 750 and 1,000 square feet of total meeting space. The Bay Tower Room is set up in a 1 hour customized package that includes the use of an onsite catering service (delivery is included in the price), onsite bar service with wait staff, audio/visual equipment, two projection screens and an unlimited amount of data ports. 

The Bay Tower Room is also available for a 3-hour package that includes everything listed above with the exception of the onsite bar service and audio/visual equipment. Each room can accommodate up to 25 people, with additional seating available in the adjoining Round Room. 

3. Catering:

Onsite catering services are available. No set-up or clean-up is included in the rental price. Initial setup cost is $25/day and any additional bedroom packages include a 20% gratuity charge.

4. Audio/Visual Equipment:

Audio and visual support is provided throughout both rooms with 2 projection screens and 2 microphones each; 2 audio channels are available for each room. The audio/visual equipment can be used exclusively by the user or shared among multiple meetings occurring simultaneously. Wireless internet access is available in both rooms.

5. Event Staff:

Bay Tower Room staff will be onsite to greet you with a warm welcome, assist with all audio/visual needs and provide full service bar service with waitstaff. A coat check is also available. Security can be provided for an additional charge, as well as valet parking for a fee. A security guard may be posted at the entrance of the building outside to deter unauthorized vehicles from accessing the property; however no vehicle searches are conducted, so we respectfully ask all guests to refrain from bringing any valuables or items that they would not feel comfortable leaving in their own car. 

6. Transportation:

The property is served by the MBTA Silver Line shuttle from South Station and Back Bay Station as well as the Massport Water Taxi from Logan Airport every 20 to 30 minutes. A free shuttle is also available between Hynes Convention Center and The Fort Point Channel neighborhood on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

7. Public Transit: 

The property is within walking distance of the Silver Line SL4 stop at World Trade Center, South Station (via HarborWalk) and Aquarium station (via the Harbor Walk). Bus lines include the 1, 4, and 9. The property is only a few minutes from Logan International Airport, and can be reached by the Water Taxi from many downtown piers including Long Wharf, Fan Pier, Rowes Wharf, Boston Harbor Cruises and Hyatt Pier.
