Stove Top Chicken Stuffing Mix

The holidays are officially around the corner (whether you like it or not). And while Thanksgiving can be an absolutely fun time full of family, festivities, and food galore, sometimes cooking for everyone can be quite daunting.

But don’t worry! We’ve compiled a list of some of the best stuffing recipes out there to make your life easier.

Learn how to make Stove Top Chicken Stuffing Mix with this recipe! The mix is cooked right in the oven with other ingredients like onions, celery, and chicken broth.

Here are some more points discussed about stouffer’s stove top stuffing

1. It’s a time saver

No need to pre-cook the stuffing with your morning or evening meal. Just add the mix in baking dish, add some cornbread crumbs, and there you have it! The stuffing is ready with seconds.

2. You can make it ahead of time

It’s one of the easiest things to make ahead of time when you know how much you’ll be serving. And if you’re a bit strapped for cash, just buy a chicken and use that instead of buying a whole chicken.

You can even divide what you have in the pan into smaller portions for leftovers for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. It’s perfect for reheating too!

3. No waste

If you don’t use the whole stuffer, which you should because it tastes really well, just freeze it. Then when you’re ready to use it again, just defrost and re-cook as needed. And by doing this, there’s no waste at all!

Cooking Stove Top Chicken Stuffing Mix: Ingredients:

1 pouch-Stove Top Chicken Stuffing Mix (or 1 cup boiling water and 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules), 2 Tbsp minced onion, 3/4 cup celery and 1/2 cup chopped cooked chicken.

Combine all ingredients except corn bread in 2-quart casserole.

Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Top with cornbread cubes and bake 10 minutes longer.

Method:

Thaw Stove Top Chicken Stuffing Mix in the refrigerator or let it sit at room temperature until it is soft enough to stir, about 10 minutes.

Add the water to the Chicken Mix.

4. CornBread Topping

CornBread Topping is the new favorite topping of many. This is because it’s very easy to make and has an authentic Southern taste that you can’t get enough of. It’s great for adding on top of any kind of stuffing you might be making, even if you’re not using this mix.

Bake 10 minutes longer until hot and bubbly.

Serve. Enjoy!

Learn how to make Stove Top Stuffing Mix with this recipe! The mix is cooked right in the oven with other ingredients like onions, celery, and chicken broth.

Put turkey in a greased 13×9 casserole dish or pan. Add celery, onions, butter, chicken broth, salt & pepper for seasoning for turkey .

Add corn bread crumbs over the top of the turkey mixture. Add 10 drops hot sauce over mixture if desired. Cook at 350 degrees covered with foil for 30 minutes~1 hour.

If your stuffing is a bit too dry, add a little broth or water.

Cook the dressing in a large pot over medium heat until it starts to bubble, stirring frequently. Cover and cook for 10 minutes longer, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and let it stand until ready to serve. Add the fresh thyme just before serving if desired.

6. Stuffing and Dumplings

Stuffing and dumplings were a staple in my family growing up. And by the time I was in high school, I had learned how to make them myself, which was a great skill to have!

What makes it so special about this stuffing mix is that it makes such delicious dumplings. These are not like the traditional boiled or fried ones you get in restaurants. These are much better, and much easier to make. Just add the mix in the dish, cover it up, and cook. Add some milk , salt, pepper & thyme for extra flavor, and you’ve got a dish that even your picky eater will love!

So get out your mixing bowl, your measuring spoons, and get ready to make some stuffing!

7. Just Stuff The Stuffing

You can do this dry or wet stuffing with this recipe. The only difference is that when you’re making dry ones you just soak the oats in water until they swell up then add them to your turkey mixture.

The wet ones are cooked with your turkey or chicken in the oven so they are already starting to simmer together when you add it to the turkey.
