I can tell you that if Xcode 8 is not an option for you, then Xcode 9 is the best bet. In Xcode 9 you have everything that Xcode 8 included in your CgContext class.

Xcode 9 fixes this bug and makes it so the CgContext class can take any CgContext class you want. Xcode 8 didnt work at all, so Xcode 9 works 100%.

I’m sure this is what’s going on with xcode, but I don’t see any way to fix it.
