Fitness Coach Is Your Worst Enemy. 9 Ways To Defeat Them

There are numerous difficulties that can cause you to drop your workout regimen. But one of the biggest enemies is the fitness coach. A fitness coach is a person that guides you on your journey to a healthier lifestyle through motivation and exercise advice. While having a fitness coach may seem like an excellent idea at first, in reality it can be quite challenging and make it harder for you to meet your goals.

Planet fitness specials offer a great deal.

These tips will help you finally succeed in reaching your fitness goals and surpassing the help that you may be receiving from a fitness coach.

#1 – Give Yourself A Break

After years of dedication, hard work, and planning, it can be incredibly frustrating when life gets in the way of achieving your goal. Taking a break is critical when trying to reach your goals. The more time we spend working towards them, the harder it may be to meet them at all. And even though we may want to meet our fitness goals as quickly as possible, we must remember that achieving them should be a gradual process.

#2 – Avoidance

If you’ve already gone through the first point, you understand that it is not always possible to work on your project at home. This can be an extremely frustrating situation for anyone. But you can use this to your advantage. When working out alone, avoid situations that are going to be stressful for you. Yes, even in the gym! The last thing that any of us need is another stressor when trying desperately to reach our fitness goals!

#3 – Know When To Go Alone

There will be times when you don’t want anyone around while working out, but you know that it is best for you to have someone there to keep you in check and help get through the workout. This can be extremely challenging because we all want to find someone who can understand our frustrations when trying to reach our goals and help us stay motivated until we meet them.

#4 – Workout On Your Own Schedule

Personally I hate when I see people who are trying to reach their goals and they have someone else coming over at 7:00 am on a Monday morning. The first thing this does is throw you off your schedule for the entire week. And that means that you will be less likely to actually achieve your goal because right now you’re just running around trying to make it work. Trust me, it will work out much better if you keep your plan and stick to it!

#5 – Take Responsibility For Your Own Progress, Not Someone Else’s

The most discouraging thing that can happen when working out alone is when you see someone else who is seemingly making no progress or worse, progressing at a slower rate than you. Whether it was intentional or not, this has happened to me more times than I’ve actually wanted it to. The first thing that I do is try my very hardest not to be jealous, which can cause us to lose all motivation when trying to reach our goal.

#6 – Workout During Your Free Time (After Work)

Many of us like to swim during our free time these days. Swimming is a great way to work out without even really having to get very sweaty at all. I know many of us will do this when we’re watching TV or even at home. However I would suggest working out at a different time other than during your free time. For example, if you have a seven to ten minute workout routine that you do when you’re at home, try doing it another time during your day that doesn’t conflict with anything else.

#7 – Find A Workout Partner Or Group

If you have someone who wants to work out with you then I suggest finding a workout partner or even a small group of people who are willing to push you and get through your fitness routine with you. If someone else has set fitness goals for themselves that are similar in nature as yours, then this is the perfect person or group of people for working out with.

#8 – Do It At Home

There are many people who would prefer to workout in the comfort of their own home rather than paying for an expensive gym membership or even paying for a personal trainer. There are many different things that you can do when working out at home. You should look into purchasing some weights and an exercise ball if you don’t already have them. I would also recommend picking up some resistance bands, but not necessary if you don’t want to go through all that trouble.

The important thing is doing something that will increase the intensity of your workout routine. The more intensity you have, the better your results will be. Also be sure to take in some cardio as well by doing some jogging if needed or running around the house. Make sure that you’re not just sitting on your butt either because even just walking around the house will help you to lose weight and fat.

#9 – Stay Positive When Working Out Alone

If you have to workout alone then it’s very easy to get down on yourself and think negative thoughts. However, this is not the time to let these things get into your head and throw off all of your hard work that you’ve been doing up until now. The reason that all of these things I have mentioned above are so important, and even more important when working out alone, is because working out by yourself is not easy and it’s easy to just give up when the going gets tough.

Conclusion:

I know this first hand because I’ve been there. Either way, no matter what you do when working out alone, be sure to find a positive side to the situation in order to stay motivated. It helps to know that you are not alone and that someone else out there is working through the same thing as you, even if it’s in another part of the world. So keep on truckin no matter how long it takes, because the more time you put in all of these things, the more results you’ll see, both mentally and physically.
